Nano-creators who post 20 times outsell one-post peers ten to one on TikTok Shop

Flywheel data on 1.5 million seeded samples finds frequency, not reach, is what pays nano-creators on TikTok Shop — $74.07 per video at 20-plus posts, against $7.19 for one.

A nano-creator who posts one TikTok Shop video drives about $7.19 in sales. Post 20 or more, and that figure rises to $74.07 per video — roughly ten times as much — according to a Flywheel report detailed by Digiday on October 14. The data covers 1.5 million product samples brands shipped to TikTok creators, with sales tracked through affiliate provider Reacher.

The funnel underneath is steep. Only 47 percent of creators who received samples posted any video at all, and only 14 percent generated a single sale. Flywheel Ventures CEO Deren Baker tied the gap to repetition, calling it compounding benefits: more posts mean, in his words, more shots on goal.

TikTok Shop still pays on commission only — a cut of each sale, with no fee for posting. Flywheel recommends brands add flat fees or performance bonuses for top-volume posters. For small creators, the lesson is plain: the money is not in one viral post, but in posting again and again.

From the crate: TikTok Shop, if frequency is what pays, put a flat fee beside the commission — the repeat posters are already doing the compounding work.
