TikTok One Pay promises creators payment within 30 days, with no fees

TikTok's September 24 move joins Meta's new Creator Marketing Hub and YouTube's wider Creator Partnerships push in a race to own the brand deal — and the payout.

Three big platforms moved within days of each other to pull brand work inside their own walls. Meta went first on September 15, merging its Creator Marketplace and Partnership Ads Hub into a new Creator Marketing Hub for discovery, messaging and turning creator content into ads. YouTube followed on September 23, expanding its Creator Partnerships programme to 20 countries and adding AI-powered tools in Studio to help creators answer brand briefs and build media kits.

TikTok answered on September 24 with money, not just tools. Its new TikTok One Pay promises to pay creators within 30 days of posting, without fees, and its invite-only TikTok One Plus offers creators 15% more on Custom Collab deals at no additional cost to brands. The report notes the payment change tackles a persistent pain point in creator marketing: delayed compensation.

That race matters because the audience already shops on a creator's word. IAB data cited in the report says 45% of consumer purchases are now influenced by creator recommendations, and creator advertising drew $37 billion in spend in 2025. The platforms are no longer competing only for viewers — they are competing to be where the deal, and the payment, happens.

From the crate: TikTok, a 30-day, no-fee promise only counts if it holds for the smallest creator on a campaign, not just the names brands already chase.
